The Board of Directors of Somec S.p.A. has examined and approved the consolidated Half-Year Financial Report as of 30 June 2026.
In the first half of the year, consolidated revenues stood at €186.3 million (-3.3% and -1.4% at constant exchange rates) compared with €192.7 million in the first half of 2025, a period that had recorded a particularly high level of activity. The trend reflects a different revenue mix across the divisions and the progressive repositioning of the portfolio towards higher value-added projects. The Horizons division recorded revenues of €112.7 million (-3.7%), the Talenta division €40.3 million (+41.3%) and the Mestieri division €37.8 million (-25.7%).
EBITDA amounted to €17.5 million, up 10.8% from €15.8 million in the previous year, the highest level in the Group’s history, with an EBITDA margin of 9.4% (8.2% as of 30 June 2025). Operating profit (EBIT) grew by 37.5% to €11.2 million, while consolidated net profit stood at €6.1 million, compared with €2.0 million in the first half of 2025.
Somec Chairman Oscar Marchetto commented: “The first-half results show a significant improvement in the Group’s profitability profile. The strong growth in margins and profit is the concrete outcome of the actions we have taken and reflects the progressive strengthening of operating efficiency across all divisions. Today Somec has a solid economic and financial structure, a greater capacity to create value and unprecedented visibility over future activities. Our order backlog is proof of this: it reached record levels at the end of the half-year and today exceeds the €1.1 billion threshold, also thanks to the recent award of the 350 Park Avenue project in New York to our subsidiary Fabbrica.”
The Group’s total backlog as of 30 June 2026 reached a record €956 million, compared with €771 million as of 31 December 2025, and extends over a time horizon reaching 2036. The sharp increase is mainly attributable to the substantial order intake in the naval segment across all divisions. Today, thanks to the significant orders announced after 1stHalf 2026 results, the backlog exceeds €1.1 billion.
