Somec S.p.A. announces new contracts worth a total of more than €100 million for the Mestieri division, dedicated to the design and creation of bespoke interiors. The awards include two naval contracts with a combined value of €81 million and several civil contracts worth more than €20 million. The new orders bring the Group’s backlog to a new high of more than €1.3 billion.

The naval work, awarded to Total Solution Interiors (TSI) by a leading Italian shipyard, will involve seven cruise ships, one of them under option. The first contract covers two ships for one of the world’s largest cruise operators. The work will be carried out between 2027 and 2030. The second contract covers five ships, one of them under option, for a major U.S. cruise line, building on TSI’s experience with previous projects for the same company. Execution of the work and the related financial impact will be spread over the 2026-2037 period.

These are joined by new civil contracts worth more than €20 million for hospitality, residential and retail projects, located mainly in Italy and the United States. The work will engage all of the division’s companies: Mestieri, TSI, Budri, Ceolin, Lamparredo and Skillmax. Execution of the contracts and the related financial impact will be spread between the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026 and the first quarter of 2027.

Oscar Marchetto, Chairman of Somec Group, said: “In the first ten months of the fiscal year alone, we secured orders worth more than €772 million.”
