HORIZONS: new €60 million order in marine glazing for 3 cruise ships

Somec S.p.A. announces that its Horizons division (engineered systems for naval architecture and civil façades), it has signed contracts with a leading Finnish shipyard for a total value of €60 million.

The order concerns the turnkey supply of integrated glazing systems on three new cruise units, destined for one of the cruise industry’s most renowned international brands. The agreement consolidates and expands an existing relationship: two options announced to the market in July 2025 are converting into orders, with the addition of a third, new unit.
The project—among the most complex ever entrusted to the division—includes the supply of the entire balcony system, the windows with vertical motorized opening of Somec’s patented Infinity Cabins, the windows and glazing of the high forward decks, as well as the glazed architecture of various public areas.

Work will take place between 2027 and 2031, with economic impact distributed across the entire program timeline.
The order adds to those already communicated for €38 million on 7 May 2026 and €56 million on 19 May 2026.
