Somec: Agreements confirmed for over €57 million in naval glazing business

Somec S.p.A. has announced the acquisition of new contracts with a total value of €57 million, for its Horizons division, specializing in engineered systems for naval architectures and civil façades.

The contracts extend those already signed with a leading Finnish shipyard and disclosed to the market on December 20, 2024, and January 31, 2025. More specifically, one of the previously planned options has been converted into an order, a new ship has been added, and another option has been confirmed.

The agreement now covers a total of three cruise ships. The contracts involve the turnkey supply of the entire balcony system, the new vertically motorized opening system developed for the Infinity Cabins, as well as the windows and glass panels for the upper decks of the bow. Delivery is scheduled between 2028 and 2030, with the economic impact expected between 2026 and 2030.
